Who is the Jeugdfonds for?

The Youth Fund helps children and young people aged 0 to 18 from families who don't have enough money for sports or cultural activities. This could be due to low incomes, receiving benefits, or needing help with debt. We cover these children's membership fees or tuition for their sports or cultural clubs.

Which activities does the Youth Fund pay for?

Sports activities, such as football, swimming, fitness, (kick)boxing, judo, athletics, gymnastics, tennis, hockey, korfball, volleyball or basketball.

Cultural activities such as music lessons, dancing, drama, painting, singing lessons or ballet.

In which municipalities can I use the fund?

We collaborate with many Dutch municipalities. Search for your municipality here:

Would you like us to pay for your child's club?

Then you can do two things:

  1. Go to kieseenclub.nl fill out the form.
  2. Or ask for help with submitting an application. For example, from your teacher, or someone else who helps you with financial matters.

I filled out the form on kieseenclub.nl. What happens now?

  • Your application will be forwarded to someone who helps you with financial matters or is involved in your family or raising your children. This could be a teacher, a neighborhood office worker, or a support worker.
  • That person will contact you to review the application together.
  • He or she then sends the application to the Youth Fund in your area.
  • The Youth Fund will review your application and let you know if your child is eligible. You'll receive an email or phone call.
  • If the application is approved, you can immediately register your child at the club.
  • The Youth Fund pays the membership fee or tuition fee directly to the club.

What are the rules of the Youth Fund?

Do I need proof of income?

No, you don't need proof of income. We do need to know what your income is. For example, do you have a job, do you receive benefits, or are you self-employed? Knowing this will help us help you faster and more effectively.

How high can my income be?

This varies per municipality. Go to kieseenclub.nl and do the check or find a fund near you.

Can I register multiple children from the same family?

Yes, that's possible. A separate application is submitted for each child.

Can I apply for multiple activities at once?

Sometimes yes, but often there is a maximum. This varies by municipality. Go to kieseenclub.nl and do the check or find a fund near you.

Do I have to reapply every year?

Yes, an application must be submitted annually. Applications are submitted for each sports or cultural year. Your child can participate in the club for one year.

What does the Youth Fund pay?

What if my child wants to stop or change activities halfway through the season?

Always consult with us if your child wants to stop or change activities halfway through. Please contact us for this. the fund near you or the person who helped you submit the application.

What if the contribution is higher than the compensation?

If your child would like to do an activity that costs more than we pay, you may have to pay the difference yourself.

Are transportation and costs at the club also reimbursed?

No, we only pay for the club and sometimes the items such as football clothing or dancing shoes.

As a parent, do I have to pay the money back to the Youth Fund?

No, that's not necessary. You never have to repay the money. However, you do have to reapply every year.

My child is turning 18. Will the Youth Fund still pay the membership fee or tuition?

We'll notify the provider once an application is approved. You'll then receive an invoice request from us.

What does the Jeugdfonds do?

The Youth Sports & Culture Fund ensures that children and young people from low-income families can participate in football, music lessons, gymnastics, street dance, judo, and theater classes. Other sporting or creative activities are also available.
