2019: Anniversary celebrated with four major shows
The 40th anniversary of Kinderen voor Kinderen was celebrated on Friday, October 25th, and Saturday, October 26th, with four major shows at Rotterdam Ahoy. Naturally, there was also a new CD: "Reis Mee!" (Travel Along!), featuring the song "Stiekem Snoepen" (Sneaky Snacks) by OBS Het Startblok from Harderwijk. winning class was present at the show in Ahoy where Sanne Hans sang their song together with the choir.
Children for Children 40! The Big Show aired on TV on November 9th.
2019: Song contest with ambassador Sanne Hans (Miss Montreal)
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Kinderen voor Kinderen in 2019, children and their classes could participate in a special song contest. Ambassador Sanne Hans worked with the top three classes to finalize their songs. She visited the school to prepare the song for the CD together with the class. The winning song can be found on CD #40, "Reis mee!" (Travel with us!). Also participating the winning class To Children for Children 40! The Big Show in Rotterdam Ahoy.
2018: Okido Podium
Part of Children for Children is the Okido Stage. The Okido Stage showcases talented children, from playing an instrument to penalty shooting. Children for Children is for everyone, and every talent is worth seeing! From all entries, the Children for Children choir will select a number of acts to perform on Children for Children TV! Does your child, student, neighbor, nephew, or niece have a special talent? Then sign up! Each child can participate individually, with a friend, a whole group, or even the entire class.
2017: 'This makes me happy' ♫
Tjeerd P. Oosterhuis, producer of Children for Children, was inspired in 2017 by nine children who, with the help of the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture, were able to sing, dance, or play sports and wrote "This makes me happy." Mareecha, Nicky, Ahmad, Erfan, Arda, Drejo, Liwa, Buer, and Alex were invited to Hilversum to talk and make music with Tjeerd. The result of this fun afternoon is, of course, the wonderful song:
