Athlete Sifan Hassan ran for miles as a child. She always played outdoors in the hills of Ethiopia and has fond memories of that time. Even after her flight from Ethiopia, sports played an important role. Initially, it was a way to forget her worries, but later, it was a way to build a new future.
Sifan knows how important sports are and, as an ambassador for the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture, wants to raise awareness for all those children who would love to play sports at a club but lack the financial means. "It makes me happy that, as an ambassador for the Youth Fund for Sports & Culture, I can help with this."
