Vacancy: Communications & Marketing Coordinator (20–24 hours per week)

Do you want to contribute to equal opportunities for children in Amsterdam? The Amsterdam Youth Fund for Sports and Culture pays the fees for sports, swimming certificates, and cultural activities for children from low-income families. This way, we ensure that every child can participate, regardless of their financial situation. To further promote our mission, we are looking for an all-around communications and marketing talent to join our team.

Are you a creative, all-around communications professional who can connect with and engage diverse audiences? With your skills in website management, campaigns, and communication tools, you'll ensure our message reaches the right people. You'll coordinate everything related to communications at our fund and implement it together with your colleagues. Excited? Read on and apply!

This is what you will do

• As Communications & Marketing Coordinator, you'll be a connecting link within our fund. You'll develop and coordinate our communications policy, ensuring consistency across all communications.
• You contribute to reaching as many children as possible through effective communication;
• You translate strategic goals into concrete actions so that various stakeholders and target groups are well informed and addressed;
• You manage the website and optimize digital findability and accessibility;
• You contribute ideas to new initiatives and campaigns and also implement them in practice;
• You oversee the various continuous communications via newsletters, social media and promotional materials;
• You maintain relationships with partners in the field of marketing and communications, including the Youth Fund Sport & Culture Netherlands and the Municipality of Amsterdam;
• You work together with colleagues to ensure a consistent and inspiring image for the fund.

• You believe in the mission of the Youth Fund and are driven to make an impact;
• You have broad experience in communications and marketing, both strategic and executive;
• You have experience in setting up and executing campaigns;
• You are a creative, communicative all-rounder who enjoys using new tools and techniques;
• You have completed a higher professional education;
• You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience;
• You work independently, take initiative and think proactively.
• You are a team player who can easily connect with colleagues.

Where do you end up?

You'll join a dedicated and energetic team of seven permanent employees and three temporary volunteers. Together, we work every day to get as many children in Amsterdam as possible involved in sports and culture. We operate from an inspiring location in the Olympic Stadium, right in the heart of the city and easily accessible. As a local branch, we are part of the national umbrella organization Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur Nederland (Youth Fund for Sports and Culture Netherlands), with which we collaborate closely on strategy, campaigns, and knowledge sharing.

What do we offer you?

• A meaningful position in a social organization that really makes a difference;
• A salary in accordance with the collective labor agreement for sports on a full-time basis between € 3,438 and € 4,959 gross per month (scale 9, 38 hours is full-time);
• Good secondary employment conditions such as vacation days, pension accrual, holiday pay and an end-of-year bonus;
• A warm, professional and vibrant team where there is room for personal initiative and development;
• A one-year contract based on 20-24 hours per week, with the prospect of permanent employment.
