Within the project "Music, Singing, and Dance for All Children," we're spotlighting the arts. In this article, we share the story of mother Lonneke and her two daughters, Fee and Saar.

Music and dance play an important role in the lives of mother Lonneke and her two daughters, Fee (13) and Saar (10). Lonneke: "The whole family is creative and musical, and we always practice a lot at home. We regularly practice dance moves and playbooks in the living room. That makes us as a family very happy!"

In addition, both my daughters take weekly music lessons. They also have to practice at home for that. Fee has been taking harp lessons for four years now. Saar plays the piano and has been taking lessons for almost a year and a half. My daughters are getting better and better at their instruments, and I notice that this is very good for their self-confidence and musical development. As a freelancer, it's sometimes difficult to make ends meet, so you have to make choices. It's wonderful that the Youth Fund can make a valuable contribution in this regard. Without this support, I wouldn't have been able to afford music lessons for my daughters.
