Change of rules of the game
As of January 1, 2021, the available amount for a sports application has been increased to € 250 per child per year.
Sports applications submitted from January 1st onwards can be reimbursed up to €250 (including voucher). Since the Youth Fund's inception in Groningen, the contribution has remained the same, while sports fees increase almost annually. Especially in the city of Groningen, in the 16+ age group, and due to the rise of more commercial sports centers and martial arts clubs, our contribution was often insufficient to cover a full year's worth of sports. Therefore, the board has decided to increase the maximum amount. Any additional costs will, of course, remain the responsibility of parents/guardians.
