Proceeds from the Virol Grunnens Alternative cycling tour for the Youth Sports Fund
On Sunday, June 2nd, the Virol Grunnens Alternatief cycling event took place on a beautiful day. The organizers, FTC Toer80, wanted to connect this cycling event to a good, sporting cause. They chose the Groningen Youth Sports Fund, with the agreement that the donation would be used to benefit children from the municipalities of Oldambt and Westerwolde. Erik Klinkenberg, board member of Toer '80 and organizer: "We also want to demonstrate social responsibility, which is why we chose this good cause. It's important that children can participate in sports, and the Youth Fund ensures that."
A week later, the check for the Groningen Youth Sports Fund was presented to the treasurer of the Youth Fund.
